Holiday Wedding at The Adelphi Hotel | Saratoga Springs, NY Wedding Photographer

Congratulations, Becca and Chris! These super sweet newlyweds planned a gorgeous winter wedding at one of my favorite venues, the Adelphi Hotel in early December. It was a chilly winter day, but Becca and Chris were troopers.

We did their first look on the iconic balcony of the Adelphi, which is always a stunning backdrop. Overlooking Saratoga Springs and full of old world charm with its great architecture. Becca stunned in an Eva Lendel dress that had a detachable train. She kept that off for their first look, which meant that she still had an element of surprise for her walk down the aisle. It was such a smart idea! After their first look, we braved the cold for some beautiful portraits of them outside the hotel. Becca brought a vintage fur to stay warm and I think it was the perfect compliment to her look.

One of my fav wedding trends that has resurfaced are champagne towers. The Adelphi Hotel orchestrated a tower for the couple to pour while we were doing bridal party pictures. Perfect solution for a cold day. Everyone gather around while Becca and Chris poured…it was so fun and a great photo opportunity. Honestly, the photos with the champagne tower might be some of my favorites from this winter wedding. I also love that Becca and Chris got to share something so special with their favorite people! After more portraits, it was time for their ceremony in the hotel. They used Christmas trees for their ceremony backdrop and it was so charming! Definitely an easy and beautiful way to honor the season.

Their reception was also held in the newly renovated ballroom at the Adelphi Hotel. With the twinkle of the Christmas lights, gorgeous florals and flicker of the candles… it was a lovely site. During the reception, Becca slipped away and changed into her gold sequined reception dress. I took the opportunity to do some trendy flash photography around the hotel before they reentered the reception. Who doesn’t love it when your wedding photographer says “ok, it’s time for hot make out elevator shots!”? Winter weddings often mean that we don’t get sunset portraits because of the time of the sunset and the schedule. This was such a fun alternative!

Congratulations again, Becca and Chris. Everything about your winter wedding day just felt so perfect and classic. I loved celebrating with you both and wish you many years of happiness together!
